Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann attended a programme related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, where he appealed to people to actively participate in the voter verification process and help ensure the integrity of the electoral system.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister urged citizens to cooperate with the SIR exercise and stressed that every genuine and eligible voter should remain on the electoral rolls. At the same time, he said no fake or ineligible voter should be allowed to obtain voting rights through the process.

Mann emphasised that the revision exercise should be conducted fairly and transparently, safeguarding the voting rights of eligible citizens while maintaining the accuracy of electoral records.
During the programme, the Chief Minister also congratulated women across the state on the launch of the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, describing it as an important initiative aimed at supporting and empowering women in Punjab.
The Punjab Government said public participation in both democratic processes and welfare schemes remains essential for ensuring transparent governance and inclusive development across the state.
During the programme, the Chief Minister also congratulated women across the state on the launch of the Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Yojana, describing it as an important initiative aimed at supporting and empowering women in Punjab. He said the scheme reflects the government’s commitment to improving the financial well-being of women through direct assistance.
