Bhagwant Mann, in coordination with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab, continued its statewide crackdown on gangster networks by carrying out targeted raids at identified locations across the state.
Bhagwant Mann Conducts 571 Raids in Statewide Gangster Crackdown
According to Punjab Police, 571 raids were conducted as part of Day 208 of the ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’ campaign. The coordinated operation resulted in the arrest of 307 individuals, while two proclaimed offenders were also apprehended.
Police also reported the recovery of one weapon during the latest round of operations. The action forms part of the state’s ongoing efforts to identify and disrupt criminal networks and individuals associated with gangster activities.
With the latest arrests, the total number of arrests made since the launch of the campaign has reached 61,346, Punjab Police said.
The force said that the operations are being conducted on the basis of identified and mapped locations, with teams working to strengthen action against gangster-linked networks across different parts of Punjab.
The continued raids are aimed at preventing criminal activities, apprehending wanted individuals and dismantling networks that pose a threat to public safety. Punjab Police said coordinated action with the AGTF remains an important part of its strategy against organised criminal elements.
Authorities have also urged members of the public to share information related to gangster activities. Punjab Police said information can be provided anonymously through its Anti-Gangster Helpline at 93946-93946.
