During the event, the minister heard various grievances and concerns raised by overseas Punjabis regarding administrative, property, and service-related matters. Senior departmental officials were also present to receive complaints and discuss possible solutions.
Ravjot Singh assured attendees that the state government is committed to resolving NRI-related issues in a timely and transparent manner. He said special attention is being given to matters affecting Punjabis living abroad, as well as their families residing in the state.
Officials stated that such interaction programmes provide an important platform for direct communication between the government and the NRI community. The initiative is aimed at ensuring that concerns are addressed efficiently and that overseas Punjabis remain connected with government services in Punjab.
The minister emphasized the significant contribution of the Punjabi diaspora to the state’s social and economic development. He noted that strengthening ties with NRIs and addressing their concerns remains an important priority for the government.
Participants were encouraged to share their issues directly with officials, and assurances were given that complaints received during the programme would be examined and acted upon according to established procedures.
The Punjab government has been organizing outreach initiatives and grievance redressal mechanisms to facilitate quicker resolution of issues faced by NRIs, particularly in areas such as property disputes, documentation, and public services.
Officials reiterated that efforts will continue to improve service delivery and ensure that overseas Punjabis receive prompt assistance whenever required.
