Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said the state has attracted ₹1.89 lakh crore in industrial investment, creating employment opportunities for around 6.31 lakh young people.
Cheema highlighted the figures while describing the changes in Punjab’s industrial environment under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
Mohali and Ludhiana Receive Major Investments
According to Cheema, Mohali received ₹9,478 crore in investment, while Ludhiana attracted ₹4,968 crore over the past four years.
He said the investment figures reflect the growing industrial activity in key cities of Punjab and the creation of new opportunities for businesses and young people.
Industrial Investment and Employment Opportunities
Cheema said Punjab is witnessing investment alongside the creation of employment opportunities for its youth.
The figures shared by the minister indicate that industrial projects and investments have been accompanied by opportunities for around 6.31 lakh young people across the state.

Cheema said the arrival of new industries and expansion of investment are contributing to changes in Punjab’s industrial landscape.
The minister attributed the developments to the policies and initiatives of the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government, while emphasising the role of industrial growth in creating opportunities for the state’s younger population.
