The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Government has highlighted the role of the Safe Punjab Helpline in strengthening public participation in its anti-drug campaign, ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’. The party said the helpline is helping turn the campaign into a people’s movement by encouraging citizens to share information about drug-related activities.
In a social media post, AAP Punjab stated that members of the public can submit information through the WhatsApp chatbot at 9779-100-200 without disclosing their mobile numbers or personal identities. The initiative aims to provide people with a way to report information while maintaining anonymity, according to the party.
WhatsApp Chatbot Encourages Public Participation: Bhagwant Mann
The Safe Punjab Helpline has been presented by AAP as a channel through which residents can share information related to drug trafficking and other drug-related activities. By allowing anonymous reporting, the party aims to encourage people who may hesitate to come forward openly to contribute to the campaign.
AAP said that the flow of information through the WhatsApp chatbot is providing significant support to the ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’ campaign. Public cooperation is being highlighted as an important part of efforts to identify drug-related activities and strengthen action against those involved.
Focus on Making the Anti-Drug Campaign a People’s Movement
The party’s message emphasised that combating drug abuse requires participation beyond government agencies and law enforcement authorities. It presented the Safe Punjab Helpline as a platform that connects citizens with the broader anti-drug campaign.
Through the initiative, AAP Punjab is encouraging residents to share relevant information and participate in efforts to address the drug problem in the state. The party reiterated that anonymous public reporting can help strengthen the campaign and contribute to its wider objective of building a drug-free Punjab.
