Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh inaugurated the Rural Health Training Centre at village Sneta, highlighting the Bhagwant Mann-led government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to medical services in rural areas.

Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr Balbir Singh emphasised the importance of preventive healthcare and urged people to undergo a medical check-up at least once every six months. He said regular health screenings help in the early detection of diseases, enabling timely treatment and better health outcomes.

The Health Minister also called for collective efforts to maintain cleanliness and protect the environment, stating that good sanitation and a healthy environment are essential for preventing diseases and improving the overall well-being of communities.
According to AAP Punjab, the Rural Health Training Centre will support healthcare delivery in surrounding villages while also serving as a training facility for medical professionals and healthcare workers. The initiative is aimed at strengthening primary healthcare services and improving public health awareness.
The Punjab Government said it remains committed to expanding healthcare infrastructure, promoting preventive care, and ensuring quality medical services reach every section of society, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
