Dr. Balbir Singh also criticized previous administrations for allegedly neglecting recruitment needs, claiming that prolonged delays had adversely affected many young aspirants whose eligibility periods were gradually shrinking while vacancies remained unfilled.

The minister drew attention to staffing shortages in educational institutions linked to the healthcare sector, particularly the Punjab Ayurvedic College, where he said there had been no regular teachers for an extended period. As part of the recruitment initiative, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann distributed appointment letters to 24 teachers for the institution, a move aimed at strengthening academic and professional training facilities.

According to the Punjab government, the recruitment drive is intended to improve healthcare delivery, fill critical vacancies, and enhance the functioning of medical and educational institutions across the state. Officials maintain that strengthening human resources in the health sector remains a key priority for improving public services and expanding access to quality healthcare.
