Through intelligence-based operations and targeted raids at identified locations across the state, law enforcement agencies have achieved significant results over the past five months.
Bhagwant Mann Intensifies Anti-Gangster Drive
The extensive crackdown reflects the Punjab Government’s commitment under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to maintain law and order and create a secure environment for citizens. By systematically targeting criminal networks and their associates, Punjab Police has intensified its efforts to dismantle organized crime structures operating across the state.
Conducts Over 93,000 Raids in Five Months
According to official figures, Punjab Police conducted 93,927 raids during the last five months, leading to the arrest of 38,738 individuals. The operations also resulted in the apprehension of 1,244 proclaimed offenders, many of whom had been evading law enforcement for extended periods.
In addition, security forces recovered 716 weapons, dealing a significant blow to criminal elements and reducing the threat posed by illegal arms in the state. These recoveries highlight the proactive measures being undertaken to prevent violent crimes and safeguard communities.
