Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has renewed his pitch to global investors, positioning the state’s Fast Track Punjab Portal as the centrepiece of its strategy to simplify approvals and attract foreign capital across sectors.

India’s Most Advanced Single-Window System

Described by the state government as India’s most advanced single-window mechanism, the Fast Track Punjab Portal is designed to streamline all industrial approvals and clearances through one unified platform. Officials say the system was built to eliminate bureaucratic delays and give investors a seamless, time-bound experience from application to clearance.

Speed As A Selling Point

Under the portal’s framework, project approvals are promised within a set timeline, with smaller projects cleared even faster to cut down the back-and-forth investors typically face with government offices. The government has framed the initiative as a marked departure from conventional red tape, emphasising simple policies, quick approvals, and reduced scope for corruption.

Global Outreach Backing The Push

Mann has taken the portal’s pitch international, holding meetings with global industry leaders and diplomatic missions to showcase Punjab’s infrastructure, skilled workforce, and connectivity. The Chief Minister has pointed to investment proposals worth Rs 1.5 lakh crore received since March 2022 as evidence of growing investor confidence, alongside interest from companies and institutions in markets like Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul.

Industrial Policy Backing The Portal

The portal’s push is backed by the Punjab Industrial and Business Development Policy 2026, introduced after consultations with industry stakeholders, aimed at boosting investment, employment, and exports across the state. The government has also flagged Invest Punjab as a complementary platform, together forming what officials describe as a transparent, industry-friendly ecosystem.

What Investors Can Expect

Beyond faster clearances, the government says the portal reduces manual intervention and compliance burden, with officials asserting it will strengthen investor confidence while creating new opportunities for employment and manufacturing across the state as Punjab positions itself as a modern industrial hub.
