Aam Aadmi Party Punjab on Wednesday said Punjab’s NRI Affairs Minister Ravjot Singh interacted with members of the overseas Punjabi community during an online grievance meeting and listened to their complaints and suggestions.
According to the party, a total of 16 cases were raised during the virtual interaction, following which directions were immediately issued to the concerned officials for prompt resolution of the matters.
The meeting was organised as part of the Punjab government’s outreach efforts towards Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and members of the Punjabi diaspora living abroad.

Officials said the issues highlighted during the online meeting included concerns related to property disputes, administrative matters and assistance sought by overseas Punjabis regarding various government services.
The minister reportedly assured participants that the state government is committed to addressing genuine grievances of the NRI community in a time-bound manner.
Government assures support to diaspora
Ravjot Singh also assured the overseas Punjabi community that the Punjab government would continue to provide support for the protection of their rights and security-related concerns.
The state government said regular interactions with NRIs are being conducted to strengthen communication and improve grievance redressal mechanisms for Punjabis residing abroad.
