Bhagwant Mann government has intensified its statewide anti-gangster campaign under the ongoing “Gangstran Te Vaar” operation. On Day 123, Punjab Police carried out large-scale raids, leading to hundreds of arrests and multiple recoveries of illegal weapons.

Punjab Police, in coordination with AGTF Punjab, conducted coordinated raids at several identified locations across the state. The operation aimed to dismantle active gangster networks and curb organized crime activities.
Large-Scale Police Operations Across State
Punjab Police, along with AGTF units, carried out coordinated raids at 488 identified locations. These operations were based on intelligence inputs and surveillance to target suspected criminal hideouts and associates linked to gangster activities.

During the crackdown, 222 individuals were arrested, including 4 proclaimed offenders. Officials stated that these arrests are part of a sustained effort to weaken organized crime structures operating in different regions of Punjab.
Weapons Recovered In Raids
Police teams also recovered 4 illegal weapons during the raids, strengthening evidence against suspected criminal elements. Officials stated that such recoveries help in breaking supply chains of illegal arms.

CM Bhagwant Mann has reiterated that maintaining law and order is the top priority of the state government. He emphasized that Punjab will not allow any gangster network to operate freely.
