Law enforcement found substantial amounts of incriminating evidence in the suspects’ possession during the raids, including:
- A kilogram of heroin
- 10 kilos of poppies
- 710 intoxicating pills or capsules
- Suspected narcotics revenues in the amount of ₹4,230
Three-Pronged Strategy: Enforcement, De-Addiction, Prevention
Enforcement, de-addiction, and prevention are the complete three-pronged paradigm that underpins the Punjab government’s anti-drug campaign, which guarantees that action is taken not only against traffickers but also in support of users seeking recovery. During this campaign phase, officials enrolled 55 people in treatment and rehabilitation programs as part of de-addiction activities. This demonstrates the administration’s dedication to giving people battling addiction help and opportunities for rehabilitation.
A Continued Push Against the Drug Menace
Bhagwant Mann: “Yudh Nashian Virudh” has consistently delivered results since its launch in March 2025; thousands of arrests and seizures have been reported. The project is part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s ongoing efforts to disrupt drug supply chains, support rehabilitation, and improve public safety and health in Punjab.
