Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann assured the public that the current flood situation was being effectively managed by the government. He emphasized that there was no reason for alarm, as the state government was in constant communication with both the Himachal Government and the Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB). This close coordination was particularly important due to the increased water release from the hilly regions.

Mann highlighted the controlled situation at the Pong and Ranjit Sagar Dams, which were being properly managed to prevent any potential escalation. He underlined that the government’s primary responsibility was to safeguard the lives and property of its citizens.
While acknowledging that the situation was indeed under control, the Chief Minister reiterated that the government’s main focus remained on conducting rescue and relief operations in the areas that had been most severely impacted. Mann personally assured that he was closely overseeing the situation, and every possible step would be taken to minimize human losses.
He further expressed confidence in the state’s ability to excel even in challenging situations, citing its history of overcoming adversities. Mann conveyed his belief that the current challenge, caused by the force of nature, would also be successfully surmounted by the state and its people.
