Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the grain mandis of Bassi Pathana and Morinda to review the ongoing procurement process and assess the arrangements made for the smooth purchase of paddy. During his visit, the Chief Minister personally interacted with farmers and officials to ensure that procurement, lifting, and payments were being handled efficiently.
Government Committed to Buying Every Grain
Mann reiterated his government’s firm commitment to purchasing every single grain of farmers’ produce. He assured that farmers’ payments are being directly transferred to their bank accounts without delay. “Our government is ensuring that no farmer faces any difficulty in selling his crop. Each grain of their hard work will be duly purchased and paid for,” Mann said.
Farmers Leaving Mandis Satisfied
The Chief Minister further noted that thanks to the strong arrangements and coordination between departments, farmers are leaving the mandis satisfied and happy after selling their produce. “We are making sure that Punjab’s annadata returns home with joy and confidence after completing their sale,” he added.
