The Aam Aadmi Party is putting their local leaders forward to gain political dominance. Ahead of Jalandhar bypoll, AAP asks local leaders to reach out to people.
Earlier the party strategist used to take charge but this time local leaders had been asked to reached out people and connect with at ground level.
The AAP ministers also instructed to go to their constituencies and propagate work done by government, how the government was their when crops were damaged due to weather, how they stood with farmers.
Now dates for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha by-election have been announced today. Voting will be held on May 10 for the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat while the results will be declared on May 13.
Jalandhar MP Passed Away
The election is happening as Congress MP from Jalandhar Santokh Singh Chowdhary passed away. Santokh Singh Chowdhary suffered a heart attack during the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Rahul Gandhi in Phillaur. Since then the Lok Sabha seat of Jalandhar was lying vacant.
