Massive achievements made by AAP government in health sector : Chetan Singh Jauramajra

The Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann has given a facelift to the state’s public health sector in just 9 months of its current tenure. The main priorities of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government include strengthening the government health infrastructure and improving services to the common people and the party is working hard to fulfill every promise made in the election manifesto related to the health sector.

More than 100 Mohalla Clinics were inaugurated

More than 100 Aam Aadmi Clinics (Mohalla Clinics) were inaugurated in rural and urban areas of Punjab and it is for the first time in the history of Punjab since independence that a political party has given such an emphasis on health services across the state. It is expected that from January 26, 500 more such clinics will be functional.

State Health and Family Welfare Minister Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that the main objective of the Hon’ble Government is to bring revolutionary changes in the health sector and we are making selfless efforts to improve it.

He said that people are taking advantage of Aam Aadmi Clinics and it is clearly seen from the statistics of Aam Aadmi Clinics that in the first three months, 6,30,035 patients were treated and 81,909 lab tests were done in the laboratories of Aam Aadmi Clinics respectively. were done.

The Health Minister further said that Punjab Health System Corporation has supplied medicines and other items worth Rs 124 crore to Aam Aadmi Clinics and other health institutions in Punjab.

He said that the Central Government is also well aware of our efforts and that is the reason why our efforts in the health sector have been awarded on many occasions. He informed that 34 dedicated maternity hospitals are functional in the state and it has been successful in reducing the maternal mortality rate in the state by 13.93 percent.

Jauramajra said that the government has given special attention to prevent the spread of Hepatitis B and C and more emphasis is being given on screening of patients and their timely treatment. He said that no special attention was paid against hepatitis by the previous government and screening and treatment was very less, but our government has screened more than 3 lakh suspected persons and 2,47,680 pregnant women have been tested for hepatitis B and C. Tested free of charge.
