Punjab Announces Big Pay Hike For Thousands Of Teachers

There is good news for the teachers of the state from the Punjab government. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced on Tuesday that now 6,137 education volunteers will get Rs 15,000 instead of Rs 3,500. Earlier it was announced to confirm the contractual teachers. At the same time, there has also been a huge increase in the salary of those working in the Education Guarantee Scheme.

On the other hand, those who used to get 6000 rupees till now, will now be given a salary of 18000 rupees. Education providers used to get 10,250 earlier, now they will get a salary of 22 thousand rupees. Along with this, teachers with MA and B.Ed who used to get 11000 salary, now they will get a salary of 23 thousand 500 rupees. The salary of IEV volunteers has been increased from Rs 5500 to Rs 15000. The Chief Minister has said that this notification will be issued in the coming days.

Now money will not be deducted even for teachers’ holidays

At the same time, it was also said that now all people will be able to work for 58 years and the money will not be deducted even for everyone’s holidays. He said that the teachers and other workers who used to go on dharnas to secure their jobs, will no longer have to do so. CM Bhagwant Mann said that everyone will be given appointment after the summer vacations. In the coming days, such amendments will be made in other departments as well. He said that there may be a delay, but there is no lack in our intention. Earlier, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had approved the regularization of services of more than 14,000 contractual teachers in the state.
