Punjab Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Saturday launched a helpline number and asked farmers to complain on this helpline if they find any unfair treatment during special field inspections being conducted to assess crop damage due to bad weather.
Dhaliwal said that he himself is monitoring the Girdawari work by going to the fields.
He said that the state government was fully committed to compensate the farmers for the crop loss due to bad weather.
Dhaliwal said in a statement here, 'It is my endeavor that every farmer gets fair compensation, but if any farmer faces unfair aid in the Girdawari process, the concerned farmer can register his complaint on 9309388088 without any hesitation.'
