Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in the devotional event “Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv De Naam” in Mohali, where he addressed a large gathering of devotees and highlighted the state’s commitment to communal harmony and public welfare.

During his address, Mann described Punjab as the sacred land of Gurus and saints, emphasizing that the state’s culture is rooted in brotherhood, unity, and mutual respect. He said that love and harmony have always defined Punjab, while attempts to spread hatred have no place in the state.

The Chief Minister also announced the expansion of the Mukh Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojana, under which the Punjab Government will introduce free pilgrimage bus services to Khatu Shyam, Salasar, Vrindavan, and Rishikesh from August 1. According to Mann, the government will bear the cost of transportation, accommodation, and other essential facilities for pilgrims.
Highlighting his government’s welfare initiatives, Mann stated that taxpayers’ money is being invested in schemes that directly benefit the people. He referred to ongoing measures such as free electricity, financial support for women through the Maavan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana, and the expanded pilgrimage program as examples of the government’s people-centric approach.
The Chief Minister concluded his message by extending greetings with the chant “Har Har Mahadev”, expressing hope that the holy month of Saavan would inspire devotion, peace, and unity across Punjab.
