Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said he felt immense spiritual peace and fulfilment after attending the grand Kirtan Darbar held in Delhi to mark the beginning of the 350th martyrdom anniversary commemorations of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. Mann described the event as a deeply moving and sacred experience that strengthened his faith and commitment to the Guru’s teachings.
Calls devotees to gather at Sri Anandpur Sahib
In his message, the Chief Minister extended a heartfelt invitation to all devotees (sangat) to visit Sri Anandpur Sahib, the holy city founded by Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s son, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Mann urged people to collectively walk on the path shown by the Guru and contribute to making the commemorative programmes a grand success.
Honouring the legacy of courage and faith
Mann said that the ongoing series of events, initiated by the Punjab Government, reflect the state’s deep respect and devotion toward Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, who sacrificed his life to uphold the principles of truth, faith, and humanity. He emphasized that following the Guru’s path of peace, unity, and service is the truest way to pay homage to his legacy.
Punjab Government committed to spiritual celebrations
The Punjab Government has been organizing devotional gatherings, Kirtan Darbars, and Langars at different locations, including Delhi and Punjab, as part of the year-long commemorations. Mann reiterated that these initiatives aim to inspire people to reconnect with the Guru’s teachings and uphold the spirit of chardikala — eternal optimism and moral strength — across the state.
