In a significant victory against organized crime, the Punjab Police’s Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) has apprehended Vipan Kumar, a resident of Bassi Muda, Baghpur Mandir, Hoshiarpur. The accused was carrying a .32 bore country-made pistol along with six live cartridges, which have been recovered by the police.

According to the police, Vipan Kumar was one of the main shooters involved in the sensational murder of Rakesh Kumar alias Gaggi at Village Khwaja Basal, Una (Himachal Pradesh). The murder was the result of a violent gang rivalry between foreign-based gangsters Laddi Bhajal @ Kooner and Monu Gujjar (Ravi Balachauria gang) on one side and Babbi Rana (Sonu Khatri gang) on the other.
FIR has been registered at PS City Kharar
The deceased, Rakesh Kumar alias Gaggi, was reportedly an associate of gangster Babbi Rana, who is considered a close aide of Sonu Khatri. An FIR has been registered at PS City Kharar, and further investigation is underway to expose the wider network of organized crime in the region.
The Punjab Government under CM Bhagwant Mann has reiterated its firm commitment to dismantling gangster networks and ensuring the safety and security of citizens across the state.
