Punjab’s Mann-led Aam Aadmi Clinics (AAC) have gained international recognition, with a 14-member Australian delegation expressing keen interest in replicating the model in Australia, said Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh on Friday.

The delegation, led by Members of Parliament from the State of Victoria — Dylan Wight and Mathew Hilakari — toured an Aam Aadmi Clinic and the Punjab Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (PILBS) in Mohali. Their visit aimed to explore Punjab's healthcare initiatives and discuss potential collaborations in both health and agriculture sectors.
Affordable and Efficient Healthcare: A Model to Replicate
During their visit, the delegation observed the operational efficiency of the clinics. By 11 am, over 60 patients had already availed services at the Aam Aadmi Clinic — a figure that left the delegation highly impressed.

In a meeting with Dr. Balbir Singh, ideas were exchanged on delivering affordable healthcare and promoting sustainable agricultural practices. The Health Minister noted that the delegation praised Punjab’s efforts in making healthcare accessible, affordable, and of high quality.
The talks have opened avenues for future collaborations, with Australia exploring the possibility of adopting a similar healthcare delivery model to benefit its citizens.
