In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann chaired a high-level security meeting with top officials of the Punjab Police on Monday. The meeting was held to assess the current security situation and reinforce preparedness across the state. 

Taking to social media, CM Mann shared, “We will not compromise on national security. Strong security arrangements have been made at all religious and public places in the state. Security forces have also been increased in educational institutions.”

Focus on Safe Return of Punjabis Stuck in J&K

CM Mann further assured that the state government is in constant contact with the Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure the safe return of Punjabi citizens stranded in the valley. “Ensuring their safe return is our responsibility,” he said.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the safety of Punjab's people remains the government’s top priority and that no stone will be left unturned in safeguarding public life.

Heightened Vigil Across the State

Following the terror incident that shocked the nation, Punjab has been placed on high alert. Law enforcement agencies have ramped up surveillance and presence, especially in sensitive areas, including bus stands, railway stations, gurdwaras, temples, and universities.

The move comes as tensions rise nationwide, with calls for unified action against terrorism and tighter border security.
