Punjab News: CM Bhagwant Mann Highlights 2024 Achievements, Welcomes 2025 with a Vision for Progress

Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently shared a video on X, reflecting on the state's remarkable achievements in 2024. In his message, Mann wrote, “The year 2024 is in the name of the people! We are continuously working to fulfill the responsibility given by Punjabis wholeheartedly. During the year 2024, we took some important decisions for the betterment of Punjab and started many new works. The entire year was in the name of the people and the works of the people. The coming year will also be in the name of the people and Punjab in the same way. Maintain support, trust, and love; our hard work continues.”

The video highlighted several key milestones, reinforcing Punjab’s progress under the AAP-led government.

Punjab’s 2024 Achievements

One of the standout achievements of 2024 is the creation of the Special Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF). This initiative was launched to address road accidents and combat crime on roads, making Punjab the only state in India to implement such a dedicated force.

Another notable milestone was the closure of 16 toll plazas, saving Punjabis an estimated ₹5 lakh daily. Bhagwant Mann emphasised how this step directly benefits the people by reducing financial burdens. Additionally, the Punjab government purchased a thermal plant to improve energy access and benefit the public at large, showcasing its commitment to infrastructure development. In his video, Mann also highlighted strides made in education, healthcare, and job creation. From initiatives aimed at empowering students and teachers to improving health infrastructure and generating employment opportunities, the year 2024 was marked by significant progress across multiple sectors.
