Punjab News: The three-day Monsoon session of the Punjab Assembly got underway today at 2:00 PM. Congress MLA Paragt Singh from Jalandhar Cant brought up environmental problems and illegal mining during the session. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann enthralled the assembly with his unique method of answering queries.
CM Bhagwant Mann’s Special Approach
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann stood out today with his unique approach during the Monsoon session. When Congress MLA Paragt Singh questioned the government about illegal mining and environmental concerns, CM Mann responded candidly. He promised to visit the site with MLA Singh to review the situation and resolve the issues. His straightforward and proactive response received widespread appreciation, and the assembly was filled with applause.
Punjab Government’s Commitment to Environment
On the first day of the 3-day Monsoon session, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann highlighted some of the significant achievements of his government. He emphasized that the Punjab government is highly committed to environmental protection. He pointed out that discussions about trees and water are currently a major focus in the state.
CM Mann stated that the present government has set a record by providing 70 to 75 percent canal water to the people of Punjab. Previously, only 21 percent of canal water was available, leading to difficulties for residents in accessing water. He assured that the current government is dedicated to addressing and resolving all the problems faced by the people of Punjab in the near future.
