Punjab News: Farmers Prosper Under Bhagwant Mann Govt! Payments for Wheat Procurement Being Released Within 24 Hours

Punjab news: Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann and Food Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak ensure easy procurement of crops from farmers in the mandis across Punjab. Payments of these procurements go directly into the bank accounts of the farmers within 24 hours after purchase is confirmed by the government. This has made the life of the farmers easy.

Punjab food and civil supplies minister Lal Chand Kataruchak has given information regarding the procurement of wheat on X.

ਖੁਰਾਕ ਮੰਤਰੀ @LC_Kataruchak ਜੀ ਨੇ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਖਰੀਦ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ:
👉🏼1 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਰੀਦ
👉🏼ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਮੰਡੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 114 ਲੱਖ ਮੀਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਆਮਦ
👉🏼 ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 111 ਲੱਖ ਮੀਟ੍ਰਿਕ ਟਨ ਕਣਕ ਦੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ ਖ਼ਰੀਦ

Through his post, Minister Kataruchak confirms that procurement of wheat is being done in a very organized manner from 1st April 2025. 111 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been procured out of which 103 lakh metric tons was purchased by Punjab government and 8 lakh metric tonnes by wheat traders. ₹22,815 crores has been paid by the government to farmers directly in their account. The government is ensuring the procurement of crops in a short time and payment within 24 hours of procurement

Punjab government is continuously doing payment of crops procured from from farmers within 24 hours. Commitment of Punjab government of timely payment is being ensured and has been successful so far for the benefits of farmers in Punjab.

What more is Punjab government doing for farmers?

• Special arrangements for clean and pure drinking water, bathrooms, electricity and cleanliness in the mandis

• Arrangement of first-aid medical kits in the mandis

• Arhtiyas to make necessary arrangements for tarpaulins etc.

Punjab government’s commitment for timely procurement and timely payment has been successful. Punjab government is also ensuring all the other facilities which are necessary and beneficial for the farmers.
