Punjab News: Gandhi Jayanti Marks the Dawn of a Health Revolution in Punjab

On the auspicious occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal came together to kickstart a transformative healthcare initiative in the state. Their joint endeavor, involving an investment of Rs 550 crore, aims to revamp and upgrade hospitals across Punjab, ensuring that all government healthcare facilities are equipped with essential amenities such as operation theaters (OT) and intensive care units (ICU).

To mark this momentous occasion, CM Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the project at the helipad situated within Thapar College, Patiala. From there, they proceeded to Mata Kaushalya Government Hospital to launch the hospital renovation initiative. During their visit, they interacted with the families of patients, gaining valuable insights into the healthcare facilities and services required.

In his message on social media platform X, CM Bhagwant Mann expressed his commitment to enhancing the healthcare landscape in Punjab. He shared his vision of a health revolution that will elevate the standard of healthcare for the people of Punjab. He thanked his partner in this mission, Arvind Kejriwal, the national coordinator of AAP, and unveiled some pictures of the ongoing efforts at Mata Kaushalya Hospital, Patiala.

Arvind Kejriwal, AAP's leader, echoed the sentiment of a health revolution and promised the provision of critical facilities in all government hospitals, including OTs and ICUs. Together with CM Bhagwant Mann, they marked the beginning of this transformative journey on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a fitting tribute to the father of the nation.

The inauguration of this healthcare initiative signifies a significant step forward in improving healthcare accessibility and quality in Punjab, as the leaders work tirelessly to fulfill their commitment to the people of the state.
