On the NASA data: Jawahar Yadav, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar, referred to NASA’s October 25 and 26 data, asserting that more stubble burning had occurred in Punjab than in Haryana. Yadav raised questions about the silence of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal regarding the NASA data.

SAD leaders’ perspectives: Leaders from the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) expressed the need for governments to provide adequate machinery and financial support to farmers to address the issue effectively. They also highlighted the role of construction, industrial, and vehicular pollution in overall air quality concerns.

The issue has led to a political debate, with varying perspectives on the causes of pollution and the effectiveness of government measures.
