Punjab News : Punjab Police Thwart Potential Target Killings: CM Bhagwant Mann Lauds Efforts

Punjab News- In a decisive intelligence-based operation, the Punjab Police have averted potential target killings with the arrest of a key member of a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)-backed terror module. The State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar apprehended an operative linked to the USA-based terrorist Harpreet Singh, also known as Happy Passia, and his Italy-based associate Resham Singh.

Details of the Operation

The SSOC Amritsar team successfully detained the operative from Amritsar, uncovering his involvement in illegal activities orchestrated by his foreign-based handlers. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were acting under direct instructions from their overseas associates to execute unlawful activities.

Significant Recovery

During the operation, the police recovered a substantial cache of arms, including one pistol, two magazines, nine live bullets, and one empty bullet shell. This recovery underscores the gravity of the potential threat that has been successfully neutralized.
