Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023
Part-time employees in Rajasthan are set to receive financial support as the cabinet has given the green light to the Rajasthan Part Time Contractual Hiring Rules-2023 draft. Under these rules, part-time workers will be eligible for a financial aid package ranging from Rs. 2 to 3 lakhs upon the conclusion of their service. This support will be extended to part-time staff in government departments upon the conclusion of their service, in the event of death, or upon retirement.
Gem Bourse in Rajasthan
A significant step has been taken towards the establishment of Rajasthan’s inaugural Gem Bourse in Jaipur. Approximately 44,000 square meters of land will be allocated for this purpose at the reserve rate. The land will be leased to the Jaipur Gem and Jewelry Board (SPV), established for the Gem Bourse, for a period of 99 years at a rate three times the industrial reserve rate. This initiative is poised to stimulate the export of gems and create direct and indirect employment opportunities for around 60,000 people.
Renaming of State Animal Welfare Board
In a new move, the State Animal Welfare Board has been renamed as the ‘Amrita Devi State Animal Welfare Board’. This decision by the cabinet aims to honour the dedication and sacrifice of Amrita Bishnoi in safeguarding animals and forests. Her commitment to the well-being of living beings is reflected in this change, serving as an inspiration for the public to advocate for animal welfare.
Chief Minister Urges Preparation of ‘Vision-2030 Document’
During the meeting, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot directed the Council of Ministers to compile the ‘Vision-2030 document’ for their respective departments by September 2023. He emphasised the importance of involving stakeholders and experts in discussions related to their departments to gather suggestions for the Vision-2030 document. Gehlot highlighted that input from over one crore people will be sought for Rajasthan Mission-2030, aiming to shape the state’s future in the most constructive manner.
