The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of dense fog on several major highways in Rajasthan, affecting visibility for commuters. The impact of fog is expected on key national highways, including Jaipur-Bharatpur, Jaipur-Sikar, Sikar-Bikaner, Jaipur-Alwar, and the national highway from Bikaner to Hanumangarh. Additionally, the Jodhpur-Nagaur and Nagaur-Churu stretches of National Highway 65 are also experiencing the effects of fog. Dense fog has been observed on NH 76 (Chittorgarh-Kota) and NH 12 (Jaipur-Kota) as well.
Weather Conditions and Temperature Extremes:
The western regions of Rajasthan are particularly affected by the winter chill, experiencing the coldest temperatures. Fatehpur and Churu have recorded the lowest temperatures, making them the coldest areas in the region.
Caution for Commuters:
With the onset of dense fog, commuters are advised to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures while traveling on these highways. Reduced visibility due to fog can pose challenges for drivers, necessitating the use of headlights and other precautionary measures.
As winter intensifies, the weather department urges residents and travelers to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during the foggy conditions.
