RTU’s Associate Professor Girish Parmar and two associate students have got bail from the High Court in the matter of demanding physical relation with the girl student in lieu of increasing the marks.
Advocate Anand, the counsel for the accused, told that the High Court has approved the bail applications of Girish Parmar, associate student Arpit Agarwal and student Isha Yadav in two cases.
All three are in jail for the last four and a half months. Four cases are registered against Girish Parmar in this matter. In 3 cases, the police have interrogated the accused by taking them into custody. At present, in one case the professor has not been taken into custody by the police. Girish Parmar has got bail in 2 out of 4 cases. In the remaining two cases, the associate professor will be able to come out of jail only after getting bail.
Two cases against Arpit and Isha
Two cases each have been registered against associate student Arpit and student Isha Yadav. In both the cases, the High Court has granted bail to Arpit. While Isha Yadav has been granted bail in one case. He has already got bail in one case.
The same student had given a complaint against the associate professor of Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, at the Dadabari police station, alleging that he was pressurizing her for a physical relationship. On which the police had registered a case on 20 December. On December 21, the police arrested the accused Professor Girish Parmar and middleman student Arpit Agarwal. SiT constituted for investigation. After investigation, Isha Yadav was also arrested. Several audios of the professor’s work had also gone viral on social media. In this case, a 4,000-page charge sheet was presented in the court on February 20.
