Amidst the ongoing impasse in the Rajasthan Congress, former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot while talking to NDTV said that I am not against any person or the Congress government here. I am against the corruption that happened during the tenure of Vasundhara Raje. The Congress leader said that I have been talking about this for a long time. When the (Rajasthan) government was three years old, I wrote to the Chief Minister asking him to intervene, that we should investigate…Now elections are just a few months away, I don’t want people to come and say that we made so much noise but did nothing against corruption.
Sachin Pilot said that he cannot tolerate corruption and he has not opposed any particular person.
Sachin Pilot did not participate in the meeting
On Monday, senior leaders of Rajasthan Congress called a one-to-one meeting of all the top leaders to chalk out a strategy for the upcoming elections. But Sachin Pilot did not attend this meeting as well. Sachin Pilot was among the voters in his area when the meeting was called.
Sachin Pilot’s program was already fixed – sources
In this meeting called in Jaipur, CM Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee Govind Singh Dotasara had one to one talks with the MLAs of the party. Sachin Pilot is an MLA from Tonk and in this meeting senior party leaders had to talk to him one-to-one as well. But he did not come to Jaipur for this meeting. Sources associated with Sachin Pilot say that his non-attendance in this meeting should not be seen in any other way. This is also because his program was already fixed before the meeting called in Jaipur.
Talks were held with the MLAs regarding the election
In the meeting, the MLAs were told that all the MLAs will have a huge responsibility in the inflation relief camps. They were told that the hard work done to make the dearness relief camp a success will be taken into account in ticket distribution. Also they have been asked to keep welfare schemes as their only agenda and not pay heed to media noise on other minor issues.
