The tragic Jaipur news of a 9-year-old schoolgirl jumping from the 4th floor of the school building has shaken the entire nation. The incident took place on November 1 at the prestigious Neerja Modi School in Jaipur. The CCTV footage shows the girl named Amayra jumping off silently from a height of 48 feet. Now, as the authorities are investigating the case, shocking allegations are coming from the parents of the deceased girl.
Parents Reveal Heartbreaking Pleas for Help
According to the parents, their daughter had asked for help for several months, but nobody listened to her. They share her one-year-old WhatsApp voice record where the girl pleads, “I don’t want to go to school.. Don’t send me”. The mother of the 4th standard girl, Shivani, has recorded this plea to send it to her class teacher.

The mother also complains, “I spoke to the class teacher, the coordinator, even during PTMs. They ignored me”. These shocking allegations directly shift the arrow towards the action of the school authority in the disheartening schoolgirl suicide case of Jaipur.
Ignored Complaints and Lack of Action
Recalling his daughter’s torment at school, her father said that he had noticed some students giggling and making gestures at his daughter during PTM. Upon raising this issue with the school authority, they did not get any satisfactory action. The teacher only dismisses the sensitive case by suggesting that Amaiya learn to talk to the boys since it is a coed school.
The CCTV footage of that tragic day also reveals that Amaiya went to the teacher’s room twice before jumping off the school building. This raises further questions on whether she went for help and got ignored again!!
Family Demands Accountability from the School
The family raises several allegations of uncooperative behaviour from the school authority. The prestigious school of Jaipur does not even follow the basic CBSE guidelines. They should provide CCTV footage with audio and video, but in this case, the audio is missing from the clip. Moreover, they have also questioned the unscientific construction of the school building with open verandas, leading to the easy and successful attempt at suicide.
Police and Education Officials Begin Probe
After the written complaint of the family, the Jaipur police are investigating this sensitive case thoroughly. The Deputy Commissioner, Rajarshi Raj Verma, said, “We are taking everything on record and verifying”. Whereas the District Education Officer Ramniwas Sharma also said to record the parents’ plea and follow the case thoroughly.
The shocking Jaipur news of a schoolgirl’s tragic suicide leaves us questioning what could have been done to save her. Though no discussions can bring her back to her parents, yet positive changes in school guidelines and a bit of sensitivity can save other Amaiyras from facing school bullies.
