Jaipur Metro: National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Chief and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to lay the foundation stone for the Jaipur Metro second phase.

The second phase would add a total of 36 new metro stations to the Pink City’s metro network. The proposed expansion of Jaipur Metro would help in extending the city’s transportation system into emerging commercial as well as residential corridors. Moreover, it would help in significantly enhancing cross-city connectivity for daily commuters, students, tourists, businessmen and others.

It has been indicated by Metro authorities that detailed station locations and alignments would soon be finalized by the relevant authorities after environmental assessments and requisite surveys get completed.
The expansion would help in cutting down congestion on road networks while offering faster and economical travel options across major neighbourhoods and junctions. This would help in cutting down travel time and congestion for commuters.
Officials remarked that the metro authority and the state administration would be seamlessly coordinating delivery of the Metro phase 2 project. It was further added that detailed design and tendering processes would soon be commended after statutory approvals are duly received.
The Metro phase 2 project is expected to bring in a series of regional as well as local connectivity benefits for businessesmen, workers, students, domestic as well as international tourists and others. It would also provide a more flexible, convenient, comfortable, economical and speedy form of transportation for Jaipur metro passengers.
