Kejriwal slams ‘brother-sister politics’ in Rajasthan

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached Rajasthan on Sunday. CM Kejriwal while addressing a public meeting in Sriganganagar targeted the Chief Minister of the state Ashok Gehlot. Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal said that ‘when we were coming here, we saw that the whole of Ganganagar and around this stadium have put up posters of Gehlot Saheb. I want to tell them that if they had worked for the last 5 years, they would not have had to do this. Kejriwal said that 15-20 people came to the meeting here and they were throwing chairs. All these are acts of cowards. You (CM Gehlot) did not work for 5 years and that is why you are doing this.

People in every state want facilities like Delhi-Punjab: Kejriwal

Addressing the public meeting, Kejriwal said that people in every state want facilities like Delhi-Punjab. There are so many hoardings of Mr. Gehlot here, when I asked someone what was the need to put up so many hoardings here. On this, he said that CM Gehlot never held such a big public meeting here during his tenure. He said that before my arrival some people came here and started throwing chairs. This is a very mean act. If Mr. Gehlot had worked for five years, he would not have needed to do all this, your work would have spoken.

Addressing a rally in Sri Ganganagar district that borders AAP-ruled Punjab, Kejriwal said: “There is so much corruption here and both Congress and BJP indulge in it. Under the Raje government, Gehlot used to level corruption allegations against her. Now, when Gehlot is in power, woh bechara Sachin Pilot ro ro ke mar gaya (poor Sachin Pilot is tired of crying), he says arrest Vasundhara Raje but Gehlot rejects it, saying she (Raje) is his sister.”

“There is a brother-sister relationship between the two. If you want to do politics of brother-sister, vote for them. But if you want the politics of patriotism, vote for AAP,” he said.

“Even for a government job, you have to give bribe. In Punjab, 30,000 jobs were given and no money was given and all jobs were given on the basis of merit. Because if the CM, party and the minister are honest, no officer would dare take bribe. These are the same officers and it’s the same set up (in Punjab, as in the previous government) but now you have an honest government,” he said.

“You gave 50 years to Congress and 18 years to BJP. What have they given you? Together Congress and BJP have looted Rajasthan. Now, with 8 crore Rajasthanis, we will make a new Rajasthan,” he said, talking of model schools and hospitals.
