Newborn dies within hours of being admitted in Rajasthan hospital

The Bhilwara model of Rajasthan was praised across the country for the prevention of virus infection during the corona epidemic. Now in the biggest “A” category of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in the same Bhilwara district, the situation is such that a newborn girl lost her life and a serious burn occurred. After this heart-wrenching incident, the hospital administration is putting all the blame on the machines, putting on a veil to hide the negligence of its novice staff. There is resentment among the family about this. The relatives have even alleged that without giving money to anyone, work is not done here.

A newborn baby girl and baby boy was kept in a radiant warmer at night in the NICU ward at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara. Where the girl died due to high heat in the machine at night and the boy got burnt. Due to which the family got angry and started creating ruckus. The incident caused a stir among the doctors. At the same time, the relatives took the dead body without getting the postmortem done. The hospital administration has assured to conduct an inquiry into the incident.

The father of the deceased newborn said that the girl was completely healthy at night and was kept in the machine. Told in the morning that the girl had died. Here the novice nursing staff is careless and does not listen to anyone. Because of this this accident has happened. Sampat Devi, the kin of the injured child, said that we had given milk to the child at two o’clock in the night. Shortly after that, the sound of crying of the newborn came, so we informed the nursing staff but they did not pay any attention. After that when we went back, a child was not there and our child was also stained. At the same time, the relatives of other newborns also alleged that the nursing staff here lives only in operating the mobile and does not listen to anyone.

While the hospital’s deputy controller, Dr Devkishan said that the accident happened due to a technical fault in the machine. We have consulted with the family members and a committee will be formed to get it probed. If the negligence of the staff is seen in this, then action will be taken against them too.
