Rahul Gandhi disqualification will not stop Congress from raising public voice: Pilot

Former Deputy CM of Rajasthan and MLA Sachin Pilot has attacked the BJP for ending the membership of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He has tweeted questioning the termination of Rahul’s membership.

Pilot has written – ”Today is a shameful day for Indian democracy. By ending the membership of Rahul Gandhi, BJP should not think that it will stop him from raising the voice of the people. We will continue to raise our voice for the public, for the truth.”

Rahul Gandhi disqualified from Lok Sabha membership

Rahul Gandhi, Member of Parliament from Kerala’s Wayanad parliamentary constituency, has been disqualified from the Lok Sabha membership by the Secretary General of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, Utpal Kumar Singh, on Friday.

He has been disqualified from March 23. It is written in the notification that Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi is disqualified from the Lok Sabha membership from Wayanad parliamentary constituency in Kerala after being convicted by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Surat.

This action has been taken under the provisions of Article 102 (1) (e) of the Constitution of India and Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act 1951 from the date of his conviction, March 23, 2023.
