Rajasthan News: 22-Year-Old Man Arrested for Alleged Espionage and Leaking Strategic Information to Pakistan

The Rajasthan Police’s intelligence wing apprehended a 22-year-old man on Sunday, suspecting his involvement as a spy working for Pakistan. Narendra Kumar, a bike mechanic from Anandgarh Khajuwala near the Indo-Pakistan international border in Bikaner, was accused of passing confidential information regarding the Bikaner border area to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Ongoing Surveillance on ISI Activities

According to Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) S Sengathir, the intelligence wing had been consistently monitoring ISI activities in the border regions. This monitoring led to the discovery of Narendra Kumar’s suspicious involvement, as he was in frequent contact with two female agents of the Pakistani spy agency through social media.

Honeytrap Involvement

During the investigation, it was revealed that Kumar had fallen victim to a honeytrap. He had been in contact with two women agents using the aliases “Poonam Bajwa” and “Sunita” via Facebook. “Poonam Bajwa” claimed to be a resident of Bathinda in Punjab and falsely stated that she worked as a data entry operator with the Border Security Force (BSF). Under the pretense of marrying Kumar, she lured him into sharing sensitive information about the border area.

Kumar was promptly detained and taken to the Joint Interrogation Centre in Jaipur for further questioning. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the extent of his involvement and gather more details about his activities as an alleged Pakistani spy.
