Rajasthan News: In a major boost to the sports sector, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced the state’s ambitious “Mission Olympic 2028” during the State-Level Youth Festival held at SMS Stadium on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s Jayanti on January 12, 2025. The mission aims to nurture 50 talented athletes by providing them with world-class facilities to prepare for the 2028 Olympics.

Highlighting the recent achievements of state athletes, CM Sharma expressed pride in their performance at the Paris Paralympics, where they secured three medals, including gold and bronze. “These victories have elevated the pride of the entire state,” he stated.

To further enhance sports development, the Rajasthan government is working on a new sports policy. This policy will focus not only on upgrading sports infrastructure but also on incorporating advanced scientific methods, analytics, counseling, and nutrition to provide holistic support to athletes.
“The vision is to ensure our athletes receive global-standard training and support, enabling them to compete and excel on international platforms,” CM Sharma added.
