Gratuity Limit Increased, Enhanced Family Pension Among Key Employee Benefits

One of the key highlights of the announcement is the increase in the gratuity limit from ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh, offering greater financial security to retiring employees. Additionally, pensioners will now receive an extra 5% pension allowance upon reaching the age of 70, a move aimed at supporting senior citizens during their later years.

Further emphasizing employee welfare, the government has made provisions for extended family pension benefits. For employees who pass away after April 1, 2024, their families will be entitled to an enhanced family pension for a period of 10 years.
