Rajasthan News: Independent MLA Om Prakash Hudla Polishes Shoes and Connects with Constituents Ahead of Rajasthan Elections

Rajasthan News: As election fervor sweeps through Rajasthan, Independent MLA Om Prakash Hudla made a unique and symbolic gesture by sitting at a cobbler shop in Dausa, where he polished people’s shoes. In a video shared by news agency ANI, Hudla can be seen wearing a garland as he meticulously polished an elderly man’s shoes and helped him put them on. The MLA was surrounded by several onlookers, with one person even tossing rose petals at him.

This isn’t the first time Hudla has caught the media’s attention with such an act. He had previously won the election from the Dausa constituency in 2018 and is known for his distinctive approach to connecting with voters.

Hudla explained to reporters that he took the initiative to polish voters’ shoes to emphasize that Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are meant to serve the people and are essentially their employees.

He stated, “…I have done this before, I’m doing it today, and will continue to do so.”

In addition to his shoe-polishing endeavor, Hudla also reportedly hoisted the Tricolour outside a hospital on Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

Rajasthan is gearing up for assembly elections, and political activities and campaigns have intensified in the state. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Chittorgarh, targeting the Congress government led by Ashok Gehlot and highlighting the state’s governance and political issues.
