In Rajasthan, the West Central Railway is renovating the Kota Railway Station. In charge of the project is DRM Manish Tiwari. By April 29, 2025, the project which will cost Rs 207.63 crore aims to upgrade the station to international standards.
Revamping Infrastructure for Enhanced Passenger Experience
Many improvements are part of the transformation plan, which will make travel more efficient and modern. The station will include first-class amenities and two arrival blocks in addition to one departure block.
A Glimpse of Future Amenities
The kota railway will many things for passengers to enjoy, like a special place for VIPs, waiting rooms, food stands and kiosks. A concourse area of 2100 square meters will connect platforms 1 and 3, ensuring smooth navigation. The station will have eight lifts and 14 escalators and so it will be easy for people with disabilities.
Safety and sustainability
CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the station to make sure passengers are safe. The project also plans to build the station as a green building. Solar energy will be used and water conservation will be used to reduce the environmental impact.
