Rajasthan News : Rajasthan Government Proposes Road Development Projects and Over Bridges to MoRTH

Rajasthan News: In a new development, the Rajasthan state government has submitted a proposal to the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) outlining plans for the widening and strengthening of 28 roads in the state. Additionally, the proposal includes the construction of seven over bridges, marking a significant step towards infrastructure development.

Key Highlights:

  1. Road Improvement Initiatives: The state government, led by Deputy Chief Minister and PWD Minister Diya Kumari, has presented plans for the widening and strengthening of 28 roads across different categories in Rajasthan.
  2. Financial Assistance Request: Deputy CM Diya Kumari has forwarded the proposal to the Union Ministry, seeking financial support for the implementation of these projects. The estimated cost for these 28 projects is reported to be Rs 780.88 crore.
  3. Project Details: The roads identified for improvement vary in length, with the longest being the State Highway-140, where stretches covering 58 kilometers are set to be developed. The shortest stretch falls in Sawai Madhopur district, covering 5.50 kilometers.
  4. River Over Bridges: The proposal also includes seven projects for the construction of river over bridges. Notably, two of these projects are in Jaipur, specifically at Nadi Ka Phatak and Dadi Ka Phatak on Benar Road.

The submission of this proposal underscores the state government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure, addressing connectivity needs, and facilitating smoother transportation for residents. The financial assistance, if granted, will play a crucial role in realizing these road development and over bridge construction initiatives.
