Rajasthan News: Rajasthan to Recruit Over 11,000 Additional Sanitation Workers for Urban Local Bodies

Rajasthan News: The Local Self-Government Department in Rajasthan, with the approval of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has issued an order to recruit more than 11,000 sanitation workers across 187 urban local bodies in the state. This decision is aimed at enhancing sanitation services and ensuring cleanliness in urban areas. The finance department has already granted its approval for this recruitment.

The recruitment process will be conducted following the Rajasthan Municipal

In addition to this significant hiring initiative, the state is already in the process of recruiting over 13,000 sanitation workers. The recruitment process will be conducted following the Rajasthan Municipal (Sweepers Service) Rules of 2012.

As a result of these combined efforts, the total number of sanitation worker positions in the state will increase substantially, from the previous 13,025 to 24,797 positions. Detailed information about the qualifications required for the Safai Karmachari (sanitation worker) position, the number of vacant posts, the application process, application fees, and specific details related to posts in different urban bodies can be found on the department’s official website at https://isg.urban.rajasthan.gov.in/.

Candidates who have previously submitted online applications for the same positions under advertisement number 01/2023 dated June 9, 2023, are not required to reapply. However, those who have already applied have the option to make amendments to their online applications if needed.

The Autonomous Government Department Rajasthan in Jaipur has released a revised notification detailing the classification of these vacant sanitation worker positions, and this information is also available on the department’s website at lsg.urban.rajasthan.gov.in.

For those who missed the earlier application window, a new opportunity to apply will be open from October 16 to November 4, 2023. Candidates who have already applied need not reapply, while new applicants can submit their applications online via recruitment.rajasthan.gov.in or sso.rajasthan.gov.in. This move aims to address the critical need for sanitation workers in the state and improve urban hygiene standards.
