Rajasthan News

Rajasthan News: A 21-year-old aspiring National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) candidate, Nisha Yadav, from Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district, reportedly died by suicide in her Kota hostel room on November 29. This marks the 29th such incident in the coaching hub this year. Nisha was found hanging from a ceiling fan, with no suicide note discovered.

No anti-hanging system in room raises concern:

Her father raised concerns when she didn’t
answer his call, leading to the tragic incident. The Kota Police have initiated an investigation, and Nisha’s body awaits postmortem at a local hospital. He went on to say that Nisha’s room did not have the anti-hanging system, which the Kota district administration had mandated.

Alarming increase in student suicide:

Earlier on Monday, November 27, Faureed Hussain, a different NEET candidate, committed himself by hanging. Notably, for the past few months, Kota has seen an alarming increase in student suicide cases, which has alarmed the local authorities.
