Rajasthan News: Residents of Barmer district were gripped with fear last night after hearing a loud explosion accompanied by a sudden burst of light in the sky. Reports indicate that the event occurred around 9:13 PM, instilling a sense of panic among locals.
Unexplained Celestial Phenomenon Causes Alarm in Rajasthan’s Barmer District
Eyewitnesses described witnessing a phenomenon akin to shooting stars or meteoroids, followed by a powerful explosion that lasted for approximately five seconds. The incident occurred in the border area of Chauhatan in Barmer district.
The unexpected celestial occurrence and the subsequent loud explosion rattled the region, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the matter. However, despite efforts to ascertain the cause, no confirmation regarding the source of the disturbance has been obtained thus far.
According to preliminary information, the incident illuminated the sky within a radius of approximately 100 kilometers, casting a bright light across various parts of Barmer, including Chauhatan, Dhori Manna, and Balotra. Similar sightings were reported in neighboring districts of Jodhpur, Pali, and Jalore.
In response to the escalating concerns among residents, SDM Surajbhan Vishnoi assured the public, stating that the incident could potentially be a celestial event. Authorities are actively investigating the matter to gather further information and provide clarity on the unusual occurrence.
