Rajasthan Pali Medical College gets Centre’s nod for PG courses

Rajasthan is establishing its unique identity in the field of medicine and education. Due to the leadership and better management of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, 162 new PG seats have been approved by the Center in two medical colleges of Rajasthan.

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has sanctioned 156 PG seats for Government Medical College, Pali and 6 additional super specialty seats for Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer Medical colleges are being established in each district by the state government to strengthen the basic medical services.

The result of the full capacity and better operation of the medical college opened by the government under Rajmes is that 156 PG seats have been approved by the Government of India for the Government Medical College Pali.

For the first time in the state, PG seats have been approved in any college run under Rajmes.

Medical and Health Minister Parsadi Lal Meena said that 12 medical colleges have been started so far and 5 new medical colleges have been prepared as per the government’s announcement to open medical colleges in each district.

He said that the medical colleges started by the government were being run with full capacity and better management.

As a result of this, the proposal for PG seats has been given immediate approval by the Central Government. He informed that with the increase in PG seats in the state, the general public will get the benefit of specialist medical services.

For this, a provision of more than Rs 193 crore has been made by the state and central government. Principal Government Secretary Medical Education Department TRavikant told that in Pali Medical College, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, ENT and Respiratory Medicine 5-5, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine and Radiodiagnosis 7-7, Gynecology, Orthopedics and of Pediatrics9-9, 11-11 in Pathology and Anesthesia and 17-17 PG seats in General Surgery and General Medicine have been approved.
