Weather Update

Rajasthan Weather Update: Rajasthan is experiencing peculiar weather patterns, with contrasting conditions observed across different parts of the state. While some regions are witnessing rainfall, others are grappling with scorching heat. However, relief from the intense heat seems imminent for many.

Rajasthan is likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning

According to the Meteorological Department, Rajasthan is likely to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds accompanied by heavy rainfall from April 13 to 15. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of cyclonic circulations and stormy weather conditions prevailing over southern Rajasthan and adjoining northern Gujarat. Additionally, a trough line extending up to northern Odisha is also visible. These weather systems indicate the likelihood of high moisture influx from the Arabian Sea into various parts of northwestern India, leading to significant rainfall.

During this period, Rajasthan is expected to witness widespread rainfall with thunder and lightning, along with gusty winds. The wind speed is forecasted to range between 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Moreover, dusty winds with speeds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour are expected in some areas over the next 24 hours.

As per the weather bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department, western and eastern Rajasthan are likely to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by severe thunderstorms during the next 24 hours. Some areas may also witness hailstorms. Consequently, an orange alert has been issued for these regions. The occurrence of thunderstorms, rainfall, and hailstorms is expected to persist, with the weather gradually clearing up from April 15 onwards.
