Rajasthan’s Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Scheme Empowers Meritorious Girls With Free Two-Wheelers

In a bid to encourage higher education among girls, the Rajasthan government is running the Kali Bai Bheel Medhavi Chhatra Scooty Yojana, which provides free scooters to meritorious female students who excel in their Class 12 examinations. Named after the brave Dungarpur-born social reformer Kali Bai Bheel, the scheme aims to support girls in pursuing college education by easing their commute and boosting their confidence.

Objective of the Scheme

The initiative is designed to motivate parents to send their daughters to school regularly and make higher education more accessible to girls across the state. Along with a brand-new scooter, students receive:

Ownership documents in the name of the student

One year of full insurance and five years of third-party insurance

One-time fuel support of 2 litres petrol

One safety helmet

Condition: The scooty cannot be sold for 5 years

Who is Eligible?

The scheme targets regular students from Rajasthan who have passed Class 12 with commendable marks:

RBSE Board: Minimum 65% marks

CBSE Board: Minimum 75% marks

Must be enrolled in a regular college or undergraduate course

Family’s annual income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh
